I did not see any outage affecting you, so I cannot confirm that was a factor. I just cleared your phone modem to see if it will pull back up. Please keep me posted.

Nope, no phone yet. I have tried 2 phones & a fax machine, nothing. Modem lights look normal.

Make sure you have plugged the phone cord from the phone or the wall back into 'Tel1' on the modem. This should be the only working phone port on the modem.

phone modem just reset itself again, (unless you done it 1 1/2 minutes ago) now working.

Ok, on my cell phone again. What is wrong with ultra 50 now? Husband said been down 40 minutes. Modem reset once, lights look good. We have rebooted and everything and no connection at all. Call center to busy to call tells me to try my call later. Please get it fixed. 72 hour test should be done now, results and fix please.

I am seeing the modem online right now.  There was a problem in Springfield, don't know if you are close enough to have been effected.  The voice test is not back yet.

I just checked in another system and it is showing an uptime of 33 minutes, 3 seconds. You may have to power cycle your wireless router and restart your computer.

Springfield MO here, went down about 2 PM. Seems to be a DNS problem as i can ping the gateway and the primary DNS but secondary DNS is down
Having to tether my phone to post this.. Please fix asap

Router removed. Ltop wired direct to modem. Wireless off. No ping no connection. No default gateway on ipconfig. At work. Husband is home although unable to work with no internet. I be back in 2 hours.

You issue was just recently posted at the top of the forums as it was just declared. There is a known problem in the Springfield area and techs are working on this issue now.

Tech's have located the damaged fiber but we do not have an ETA at the moment.  I am very sorry that this has happened and we appreciate your patience.

Do you know how the fiber got damaged?  Was it an outside company, or Mediacom caused somehow?

Details on the exact cause of the damage were not provided to us, so it is unknown as to the direct reason the fiber was damaged. From what I gathered it was not actually caused by Mediacom.

Snugglebunny I have the results of the voice test back.  The modem lost sync twice during the test. both times it was due to spikes in SNR dropping. This in resulting in 80% packet loss.  We should set up a tech call send me a personal message about what times would be best for you.
