Help with new Motorola DCX700

I recently was required to switch my HD-DVR box with a Motorola DCX700. Upon hooking up the new box, I am unable get any mediacom channels in 1080. The previous box supported 1080, but now even channels like NBC, HBO, and ESPN (which I know are currently broadcasting in 1080) show that the signal coming from the box is 720. All the HD channels are still viewable, they just will not come through correctly. I have been trying to get to a customer service rep on the phone and continually go through the menu to the the service/repair selection and get "we indicate no service outage in your area" Has anyone else had a similar problems?

Thank you for posting.  It sounds like the new box is automatically set to 720p.  With the cable box turned off and the TV on, press menu on your remote.  You should be able to turn 1080i back on.   Let me know if this helps.
